Mare and I are going to Italy and Greece (and a wee bit of France) for two weeks on a cruise and short stay in Italy. Very exciting, looking forward to seeing all the sights.

Here is our itinerary (so to speak):

• Day 1 – Arrive in Rome, check in to Mecenate Palace Hotel, take a brief look around
• Day 2 – Tour Colosseum, Vatican City and St. Peters Basilica (plus whatever else we can fit in)
• Day 3 – Up to Florence for the day, to visit Uffizi, Accademia and any other gallery we can see time permiitting
• Day 4 – A bit more of Rome, then head to Civitavecchia and get on a Celebrity Cruise ship (the Galaxy)
• Dav 5 – Naples, Italy
• Day 6 – At sea
• Day 7 – Mykonos, Greece
• Day 8 – Santorini, Greece
• Day 9 – At sea
• Day 10 – Messina, Sicily
• Day 11 – At sea
• Day 12 – Villefranche, France (Monte Carlo and Monaco)
• Day 13 – Genoa, Italy
• Day 14 – Dock at Civitavecchia and head to Rome, the airport and home
